BeautyUk bronzer and blush review

As I have mentioned before in a previous post (HERE), Beautyuk is a UK based brand that offer cosmetics at affordable prices.

Today I am showing you what they offer in terms of  blushers and bronzers.

First off their Baked Bronzer in shade 04 Goddess* £3.99. This is part of there "Baked collection" and is one of 4 different colours in the collection. The collection offers 2 blushes ( 01 Popisle Pink and 02 Rose Rouge) and 2 bronzers ( 03 Halo and 04 Goddess).

The beautyuk baked-box collection brings healthy, holiday-glow skin to the high street. Capturing sun-baked summer bliss in 4 iridescent shades that highlight and define with a veil of subtle shimmer. Complete with flip lid box and large mirror for ease of application

The colour is lovely, a gorgeous golden shimmer that reflects the light beautifully, adding that sunkissed sheen to the face.
I'm a little torn with this bronzer, I have found it hard to use. It may just be me but I'm not too keen on a Bronzer that contains too much shimmer. I never know where to put it, is it a highlighter? Is it a bronzer? Do I contour with it? I just don't know!
I think the problem I have with it is that its too light for me to use it as a bronzer and too dark for me to use it as a highlighter.  I have however been using it as an eyeshadow which has worked out beautifully so I'm happy that I can use it in this way. Others may find the shimmer and depth perfect for them but sadly for me it doesn't work too well :(

The blusher I have is Capital Pink*, a gorgeous bright baby pink with fantastic pigmentation. You only need to apply a little as the colour pay off is very high.

Give your look a pop of vibrant colour with the beautyuk “blush & brush” collection. Build layers of colour with the handy compact brush to achieve your desired look, anytime, anywhere.

Once on the cheeks it can gives you a lovely rosy pink colour in a soft matte finish, which is great for a flush of colour to your cheek bones. The staying power is not too bad, nothing ground breaking but good considering its £2.99  price tag.
There are another four shades Dawn glow, Isla Rose, Rustic Peach ( which looks stunning and just up my street) and Upper East Side, all come with a small blusher brush.

The packaging for both the Bronzer and Blusher is simple and understated, which house products that offer fantastic value for money and are perfect for anyone looking for more affordable make up. All products can be found here on the BeautyUK website and on the high street in Superdrug.

What are your thoughts on BeautyUk? Have you tried any products from their range? Let me know if you have.

  3. That bronzer does look STUNNING but I agree I'd find it hard to use given that it's so shimmery! I imagine it really would look gorgeous as an eyeshadow though :D

  4. The bronzer looks nice although it would be too dark and far too shimmery for me so I would have to use it as an eyeshadow too x
