Battle of the Advent Calendars

This year is 'Year of the Beauty Advent Calendars'. Everyone, and I mean everyone is jumping on the band waggon when it comes to Christmas themed beauty treats. There are 15 in total, yes 15!! Some old favourites, some new exciting contenders, and not all are beauty themed - some are fashion and there's even a lifestyle one thrown in for good measure.
Some of the Calendars are well out of my league on the price point, but some are much more affordable and purse friendly meaning there's one out there for everyone!
Lets see what's on offer this year with the 'Battle of the Advent Calendars' ......

Boots No7 Advent Calendar. £35.00 Available from 29th October in store and online.
Worth over £130.00 and one of the more purse friendly calendars on the market, you can expect to find a variety of No7 goodies enclosed like, No7 high Shine Lip Crayon, Lash Impact Mascara, eye serum and many more!

The Body Shop Days of Joy Advent Calendar £50.00 Available in store from 26th October and online from 4th November
The Body Shop calendar last year was a huge success and this years I think will be no different. Inside you can except to see the likes of Wild Argan Oil, Colour Crush Nail Polish and White musk perfume as well as much more totalling £83.00 worth of products!

Selfridges 'Enchanted Spells' Advent Calendar. £85.50 Available NOW here

If you think this is an ordinary calendar then you'd be wrong. At £250 its a whole-lotta cash to be spending, and is really a Christmas present in itself! But if you're a Jo Malone fanatic then this might be just up your street, with mini perfumes and body creams all from their best selling scents like Pomegranate Noir ( my personal fav) Lime Basil & Mandarin, and Peony & Blush, it's certainly a beautiful treat if its in your budget!

Elemis 12 Days of Beauty £59.50 Available NOW here.

Top Shop Freedom Advent Jewellery Calendar Available NOW £25.00 here

Primark Jewellery Advent Calendar Available in store NOW £10.00
A slightly cheaper option is the jewellery calendar from Primark containing cute stud earrings, necklaces and rings that would be perfect for teenagers and anyone into fashion.

My personal favourites have to be the Jo Malone, even though there's no chance in hell of me getting it, unless of course there's anyone that wants to give me one. *wink wink, nudge nudge*. Other favourites are the Yankee candle advent ( lets face it who doesn't love a candle at Christmas) and the Lush 12 Days of Christmas.
Which are your favourites, and will you be buying any this year?

  3. I would get the yankee candle one not so sure of any of the others, they never seem to be 'worth it' in value to me, however I think the yankee candle one is such a cute idea!
