Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipsticks

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipsticks in sexy sienna and lost cherry. review and swatches.

Charlotte Tilbury matte revolution lipsticks in sexy sienna and lost cherry review and swatches.

My first Charlotte Tilbury purchase!! I know, I know I'm a little late to the party but I'm here now so let that be the end if it.
I've seen numerous posts and heard everyone raving about her line but somehow I never got around to ordering anything - Probably because there's not a counter near me so it meant I had to order online, and the thought of parting with that much cash and not liking the colour or product was too much to bare. This all got thrown out her window when I saw the release of the new Matte Revolution lipsticks. I'm rather partial to a matte lippy and everything about these said" buy me". So I did.

This is a beautiful nude with a pinky peachy undertone that I think is so easy to wear and would flatter most skin tones. A "golden coral" is it's description but I think it to come off more nude on me.

This the perfect bright fuchsia pink with a slight coral hue, that some how doesn't look too bright, but bright enough to get noticed. It's described at "pastel fuchsia", which I think is spot on and the exact description for it.

Both lipsticks benefit from a creamy matte finish that isn't drying and very comfortable to wear. The matte formula is unlike any I have tried before, containing Lipstick Tree and Orchid exact that hydrate and soften the lips meaning it wears evenly on the lips without flaking or going "scabby" (you all know what I mean! lol). What makes these different again is you can layer the lipsticks and re fresh the colour throughout the day without it caking up or looking patchy. Some matte lipsticks don't allow you to do this and don't lay well on each other, but this does and makes it stand out from the crowd and sets the mark when it comes to matte formulas.

The bullet is shaped very different from conventional lipsticks where the tip is a flat square shape that makes application a breeze. The squared tip allows me to line the cupids bow and trace the out line of my lips perfectly, and with ease. Looking at the unusual shape you'd think it wouldn't work, but it does.
Like most Charlotte Tilbury makeup the price isn't cheap but not completely outrageous either. £23.00 is on par with most high end brands like YSL and Dior, and I do think the product is worth it if you want to treat yourself and have something that's not only beautiful on the inside, but on the outside too. I mean come on, it rose gold vintage packaging for god sake. Blooming stunning!

What do you think to the Matte Revolution Lipsticks? Have you picked up any shades yet?
