Jurlique Balancing Foaming Cleanser

Jurlique Balancing Foaming Cleanser* £27.50 (currently on offer for £21.18)

This is my first dip into Jurlique products and one I must say I have been very pleased with. All of their skincare is derived from natural ingredients and this cleanser is no different. Containing Ginseng Root to help firm the skin, Rosehip Oil to restore skins radiance, and Ginkgo Biloba which helps restore skin cells. It's also packed with Vitamins E and C, and these together with the other ingredients create a harmonious balance for normal/combination skin.

One small pump is all you need to cover the entire face, while the cleanser lathers up into a rich moisturising foam which feels creamy and hydrating on the skin - a far cry from most foaming cleansers that can be stripping and drying on the skin. This is not.

The scent is everything you expect from a natural skincare line, a herby infusion that may not be to everyone's taste, but I personally don't mind.

This is described as a 'Balancing Cleanser' which is exactly what it is. It has controlled my oil levels and also hydrated my skin in areas that need it,  leaving it looking and feeling soft and radiant.

One aspect I was not expecting to find was how it banished breakouts and spots. As you know me and my skin have not been the best of friends for some time. The situation has been better these last 3 months or so but I was still finding myself with a visitor at least once a week. Which was a lot better than it has been, but still annoying.
Since using this for 5 weeks now I have been spot free for 4 of them ( you know the 4th week has something to do with hormones and our good old friend that visits once a month! Sorry TMI).
Now I can't say for sure if it's this cleanser, but what I can say is I haven't changed anything else in my skin care routine apart from this.
As an oily skin gal I've always gravitated towards cleansers that are designed to tackle spots and banish oil, so for me trying a "hydrating cleanser" was well out of my comfort zone and something that I thought would hinder my problem rather than improve it.

For now I'm sticking with this. I've enjoyed my spot free face and don't want them back! If you've struggled with breakouts and tried everything on the market to get rid of them, I can definitely recommend giving this a try. Who knows, you may see the same results I have?

Trying this has made me more interested in other products from Jurlique. If you've already tried some what would be your recommendations to try next, I'd love to know!
*PR Sample. All thoughts are of course my own.

  1. I've not tried anything by Jurlique before but this sounds so great I'm definitely going to be looking into the brand a bit more.
